We're delighted to welcome 4 middle grade authors for an event in partnership with Harper Collins and Shelf Stuff. Caela Carter, Janae Marks, Cammie McGovern and Chris Negron will join us to talk about their books - we cannot wait!

About the Authors:
Caela Carter graduated from The New School’s MFA program in writing for children. She taught children and teenagers for ten years. Her books for teenagers include Me, Him, Them, and It and My Best Friend, Maybe. Caela has also written four other books for middle grade readers, My Life with the Liars, Charlotte Huck Honor Book Forever, Or a Long, Long Time, One Speck of Truth, and How to Be A Girl in the World. This is her fifth. Caela lives in Brooklyn.
Janae Marks is a graduate of the New School Creative Writing MFA program. When she isn't writing stories featuring girls of color, she's spending time with her husband and daughter at home in Connecticut. From the Desk of Zoe Washington is her debut novel. Cammie McGovern is the author of the middle grade novels Frankie and Amelia, Chester and Gus, and Just My Luck; the young adult novels Just Breathe, A Step Toward Falling, and Say What You Will; and the adult novels Neighborhood Watch, Eye Contact, and The Art of Seeing. Cammie is also one of the founders of Whole Children, a resource center that runs after-school classes and programs for children with special needs. Chris Negron grew up outside Buffalo, New York, where he spent a huge chunk of his childhood collecting comic books and loving sports. But it was the hours of playing Dungeons and Dragons in friends' basements that first gave him the dream of one day writing his own stories. That dream kept him company through college at Yale University and years of programming computers for big companies. If you'd prefer to use our curbside pickup program, we ask that you please collect your book(s) within one month of the event date. After that date, your book will be donated to a Houston-based literacy organization.
