HYBRID: Mackenzi Lee | The Winter Soldier: Cold Front

We are very excited to welcome Mackenzi Lee to Houston to celebrate her new book, The Winter Soldier: Cold Front. This event will also be streamed live via a Zoom webinar. You will be able to see the author, but they will not be able to see you. We will have the chat and the Q&A functions open in the webinar.
Although masks are no longer required, our store can get crowded during events. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so. We will have surgical masks on hand if you find yourself without one. If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to stay home and we are happy to get a book signed for you!
NOTE: Books will be available for pick up at the event.

- This event is free to attend, but registration is required. You can register for the VIRTUAL event here. Once you register, you will receive an invitation to join the virtual event. If you are attending in person, registration is not required.
- NOTE: Because this is a virtual event that will be hosted on Zoom, you will need access a computer or other device that is capable of accessing the internet at a sufficient bandwidth. In order to go through the signing line and meet Mackenzi Lee for book personalization, please purchase The Winter Soldier: Cold Front from Blue Willow Bookshop. At the time of your purchase, we will issue a signing line ticket that indicates your place in line. Your book and signing line ticket can be picked up at the event.

About the Author:
Mackenzi Lee holds a BA in history and an MFA in writing for children and young adults from Simmons College. She is the New York Times best-selling author of the historical fantasy novels Loki: Where Mischief Lies; The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue, which won a 2018 Stonewall Honor Award and the New England Book Award; and its sequel, The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy. She is also the author of the nonfiction book Bygone Badass Broads, a collection of short biographies of forgotten women from history. In 2020, she was named one of Forbes's 30 Under 30 for her work in bringing minority narratives to historical fiction. When not writing, she works as an independent bookseller, drinks too much Diet Coke, and naps with her Saint Bernard, Queenie.
Ordering:
Payment type must be "CreditCard." Shipping will be charged if you want the book shipped to you. If you'd prefer to use our curbside pickup program, we ask that you please collect your book(s) within one month of the event date. After that date, your book will be donated to a Houston-based literacy organization.
International shipping can run from $25-50US in addition to the cost of the book and can take up to 3 months to reach its destination. Additionally, we can only ship to certain regions and countries. If you'd like to pursue international shipping, please email cathy@bluewillowbookshop.com.
