Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Party

Join us for a party celebrating all things Harry Potter as we mark the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! We have a full slate of fun activities planned for the afternoon, including:

Sorting

Before you enter the store, pay a visit to the Sorting Hat outside. There, you’ll receive your house assignment, along with a special Harry Potter name and name tag.

Trivia

Keep a sharp eye as you peruse our stacks! We’re hiding trivia questions around the shop. Return your answers for a chance to win prizes—ranging from a bag of Bertie Bott’s to a trip to the Room of Requirement.

Coloring

Celebrating with young wizards and witches? Stop by our coloring table in the front of the shop. We’ll have a variety of HP patterns awaiting your artistic flourishes.

Tattoos

Celebrate the boy who lived by decorating your brow with a (temporary) lightning bolt tattoo.

Recommendations

Still looking to fill the void you’ve felt since the last page of Deathly Hallows? Stop by our table of HP-inspired recommendations for all ages—you’re sure to find a future favorite.

Costume Contest

Our culminating event! Join our costume parade at 3:45 p.m., to be followed by judging. Winners will receive their very own pet from the Magical Menagerie.

Refreshments

This ain’t our first summer in Houston. We’ll be serving up gillywater and polyjuice potion outside.

A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick. Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground.
