Galentine's / Palentine's Day!
"What's Galentine's Day?
Oh, it's only the best day of the year."
Galentine's Day is a fictional holiday turned national phenomenon, inspired by Parks & Recreation's Leslie Knope. Every year, we see friends stop by to celebrate the holiday at our bookshop... and this year, we've decided to make an event out of it!
Though traditionally held on February 13, our inaugural Galentine's/Palentine's Day* event will be held on Saturday, February 17. We hope this allows more of you to come celebrate with us!
Stop by the bookshop with your gals and pals and celebrate good friends and good books. Meet fellow book lovers, browse our displays of staff romance recommendations, and place a heart-shaped sticky note on your favorite books on our shelves to help guide others to their next great read.
We will also be offering 15% off the preorders of select books! This special discount will be offered only on Saturday, February 17, and can be applied to the featured titles either in-store or online. (If you choose to preorder online, add the word "Galentine" to the "comments" section at checkout, and our team will apply the discount to your preorder purchase. Scroll to the bottom of this page to add books to your cart!)
If you want to kick it breakfast style, don't forget to stop by our neighbors at Chez Kobayashi Pastries for coffee, tea, and a delicious treat. In addition to beautiful pastries, they also serve croissants, crepes, quiche, and more! Find them just a few doors down in our shopping center.
We'll see you there, you poetic, noble land-mermaids!
* We are calling our event "Galentine's/Palentine's Day" because we want everyone to know that they are welcome! All friends, of all identities, are welcome and celebrated in our bookshop.
