In her heartbreaking new novel, Divakaruni introduces us to three generations of Indian women. They have hopes and dreams. They are all forced to conform to an almost impossible standard. Their stories are full of drama and atmosphere giving the reader a glimpse into their private lives. As always, food, spices, and music play a big part in the story. Loved it.
