Another Shade of Blue Book Club
Are you a book lover? Would you rather read than anything else? We'd love for you to join us at Another Shade of Blue, our book club for middle grade boys and girls in 4th through 6th grade. We meet the last Saturday of each month (or sometimes other Saturdays) at 10 a.m to discuss particular books, books that you are reading, and a few books that aren't even out in the wild yet!
Our next books:
March 23: Song for a Whale by Lynne Kelly
April 27: The Unteachables by Gordon Korman
May 18: Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee
In the spirit of modern-day classics like Fish in a Tree and Counting by 7s comes the story of a deaf girl's connection to a whale whose song can't be heard by his species, and the journey she takes to help him.
A hilarious new middle grade novel from beloved and bestselling author Gordon Korman about what happens when the worst class of kids in school is paired with the worst teacher—perfect for fans of Ms. Bixby’s Last Day.
Rick Riordan Presents Yoon Ha Lee's space opera about thirteen-year-old Min, who comes from a long line of fox spirits. But you'd never know it by looking at her. To keep the family safe, Min's mother insists that none of them use any fox-magic, such as Charm or shape-shifting. They must appear human at all times.
