Indie Bookstore Day 2023

Calling all book lovers: The 10th Annual Independent Bookstore Day is Saturday, April 29!

This annual national holiday celebrates independent bookstores and the wonderful folks who support them. We'll be in the shop all day, ready to talk books with you, share recommendations, and — yes — hand flail over stories we love. Bring your young readers for toddler storytime at 9:30am!

We'll also have exclusive Indie Bookstore Day items, including an Indie Bookstore Day tote, Blackwing x IBD pencils, an awesome tote featuring an iconic quote from Celeste Ng's third novel, Our Missing Hearts, a Banned Books puzzle, an Indie Bookstore Day collapsible water bottle, stickers, and more. Some items are free, others can be purchased — but only on this special bookish holiday.

When you stop in the bookshop, be sure to drop your name in the hat for a chance to win a Box Game, handcrafted locally by Greg Koehler. We will also have mystery ARCs (advanced reading copies) to share with you. In the afternoon, we'll be serving drinks to sip as you browse.

In our minds, Indie Bookstore Day is about celebrating community. We're so grateful for our Houston reading community, and our friends further-flung. We'd love to see you on this bookish holiday to celebrate good books, good conversation, and good neighbors.
