What is Another Shade of Blue?

Another Shade of Blue is a quarterly subscription program for any readers of Young Adult fiction, curated by experts—local Houston teens! Once per quarter, our Teen Advisory Board reads a selection of books and votes on their favorite. Subscribers will receive a first edition hardcover book with a special bookplate signed by the author, along with a branded bookmark and a review of the book written by a member of our Teen Advisory Board. There is also a second tier that includes swag!

It's a tailormade reading experience, brought to you by experts who love to read as much as you do.

What's included in the subscription?

Each quarter, you will receive a hand-wrapped young adult hardcover book. Each book has been vetted and selected by our Teen Advisory Board, a group of talented local teen readers and reviewers.

Your first edition hardcover will be signed by the author on a special bookplate and arrives along with an array of exclusive extras, including unique author content (such as a teen-led Q&A or video interview), a branded bookmark, and a review from one of our Advisory Board members.

The second tier (Subscription PLUS) includes everything from the first tier, plus swag! Below are the goodies that are included:

Box #1: Blue Willow T-shirt and magnet
Box #2: Pack of two (2) sticker sheets from Ideal Bookshelf, plus a mystery YA ARC (advanced reading copy)
Box #3: Pack of three (3) reading themed notebooks
Box #4: Two (2) reading themed stickers from LoveLit, plus a mystery YA ARC (advanced reading copy)

Stickers shown are examples, and not necessarily the actual sticker subscribers will receive. PLUS subscriptions will receive two (2) stickers from LoveLIt in their fourth box.
