What: Junot Diaz will discuss and sign his new picture book ISLANDBORN.

Where: Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas 77002. Christ Church Cathedral is located between Fannin and San Jacinto Streets in downtown Houston. There is free parking in the garage across the street from the cathedral campus on San Jacinto Street. Admission: This is a ticketed event. One ticket equals the purchase of ISLANDBORN from Blue Willow Bookshop and will admit one person. Children under 13 are admitted free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. You may order additional books for Junot Diaz to sign at the event, but you must purchase ISLANDBORN in order to attend.
At the time of your purchase, we will issue a will call event ticket that indicates your place in the signing line. You will pick up your book and ticket at the event at the will call table.
About the Author:
Junot Diaz was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New Jersey. He is the author of THE BRIEF WONDROUS LIFE OF OSCAR WAO, which won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award; and THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE HER, a New York Times bestseller and National Book Award finalist. A graduate of Rutgers University, Diaz is currently the fiction editor at Boston Review and the Rudge and Nancy Allen Professor of Writing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
